ATM surcharge fees have risen approximately 7 percent annually since the late 1990s.

Not surprisingly, rising ATM fees are an item that consumers invariably complain about and that legislators frequently condemn (especially on the campaign trail). And they're a headline-grabbing topic on a yearly basis, when Bankrate.com releases its report on checking account fees, usually noting that ATM charges are at a record high.

Unfortunately for independent service organizations and ATM deployers, none of this takes into account the underlying reality that the cost of operating an ATM also hits a record high just about every year, something that ISOs and IADs know all too well.

They also know that consumer dislike of ATM fees is driving more cardholders to seek out surcharge-free ATMs, putting further pressure on profit margins with each transaction lost.

For years, this squeeze has forced ISOs and IADs to seek additional ways to wring revenue out of their ATMs. Some have succeeded. Some have not.

The good news is that if you're an ATM independent, there might actually be a more reliable way for you to realize greater returns through surcharge-free access.

Going surcharge-free gives you the opportunity to generate more ATM transactions, which ultimately translates to higher revenue over time.

In a March 8 webinarA revenue-boosting surcharge-free business model for innovative ISOs and IADs, hosted by ATM marketplace and sponsored by Elan Financial Services, a division of U.S. Bank, you'll learn about a business model that allows you to reap more profit per card transaction.

You will also discover how to earn additional revenue by using sophisticated routing tables to define network priorities. Established routing groups rank networks on a cost basis and set routing priorities accordingly.

By routing transactions in this way, you can net additional income with no impact to cardholders.

Join Steve Gernes, vice president of ISO sales and strategy for Elan and Suzanne Cluckey, editor of ATM Marketplace, for an in-depth conversation about a lucrative surcharge-free business model for innovative ISOs and IADs.

You'll take away valuable information that can help you to:

  • Realize greater profitability from every card transaction.
  • Secure higher revenue through sophisticated network routing priorities.
  • Market your surcharge-free ATMs to maximize traffic.

You'll also have the opportunity to get answers to your own particular questions during the live Q&A session following the presentation.

Find out how to clear a pathway to greater profitability. Register now for the webinar, A revenue-boosting surcharge-free business model for innovative ISOs and IADs.
