Wis. bank signs with MoneyPass ATM network

April 15, 2007

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Associated Bank of Wisconsin ($21 billion in assets) has selected the MoneyPass ATM network to provide surcharge-free access to its banking customers in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.

According to a news release, the deal includes the addition of more than 300 Associate Bank ATMs to the MoneyPass network and gives Associated Bank's customers surcharge free access at all MoneyPass ATMs.

MoneyPass, which is owned and operated by Elan Financial Services, has nearly 10,000 ATMs in its network - a network that utilizes a unique approach to pricing, requiring MoneyPass participants to pay only as their cardholders use the network. "Pay as you use it" pricing eliminates the need for restrictive and expensive contracts.

Through a mix of financial institution and retail ATM locations, MoneyPass says it is enjoying fast-paced growth in key markets such as the West Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

"MoneyPass appeals to our tradition of providing our customers with superior financial products with an emphasis on the customer experience," said Lorraine Avery, senior vice president and director of customer care for Associated. "Our cardholders, like many consumers, have expressed interest in having surcharge-free access to their accounts through an extensive network of ATMs. Participating in MoneyPass not only gives them this benefit within the Associated Bank footprint but enables them to perform surcharge free transactions at any MoneyPass ATM across the nation."
