ATM processor Columbus Data Services has completed MasterCard end-to-end certification on all current Triton ATM products, according to a news release from the ATM manufacturer. As a result, CDS is now able to process EMV-compliant MasterCard network transactions originating from Triton ATMs.
The certification covers Triton RL, RT, FT, Traverse, and ARGO series ATMs running the Triton Dynamic Language (previously known as Triton Standard) message format.
"Triton is pleased to partner with CDS in this effort as the industry migrates to the full adoption of EMV," said James Phillips, vice president of sales and marketing at Triton. "With a focus on supporting the ISO community, Triton now offers a fully EMV-compliant solution for Triton ATM products shipping over the past 10 years."
CDS senior vice president John Willmon said the certification would allow the company to better protect its customers from counterfeit faud.
"For those ISOs experiencing fraud at the ATM, CDS now offers a solution to offset the liability shift through immediate conversion to EMV," he said
The ATM industry faces a number of liability shift deadlines. The MasterCard Maestro network shift became effective in April. The next deadline for all MasterCard networks is October 2016, followed by a VISA liability shift deadline in October 2017.
