TNS Smart Network, Nautilus Hyosung process EMV ATM transactions with Interac

TORONTO — TNS Smart Network Inc., a subsidiary of NRT Technology Corp., has processed the first Interac Association EMV-compliant transaction on a white-label ATM in Canada.
According to a news release, the transaction was processed on a Nautilus Hyosung MoniMax 5000CE ATM, located at Ontario Place and owned by TNX client Gilchrist Vending. "Being the first in Canada to certify white label EMV transactions is a wonderful achievement," said John Dominelli, president and chief executive of NRT.
Nautilus Hyosung says the MX5000 CE models are the first of a fully EMV-compliant product line, which includes the 1500 and 1800 ATM series, expected to hit the market this summer.
