Indian Bank, NCR launch portable ATMs

Sify Ltd.: Indian Bank has partnered with NCR Corp. to design and deploy portable ATM centers for other Indian banks. The mobile/portable ATM, to be installed at the Egmore Railway Station in Chennai, Indian, marks Indian Bank's 500th ATM deployment as it continues to expand its reach across the country. In order to support the bank's expansion plans to tap unbanked consumers residing in rural areas who commute by trains, NCR will install and deploy its Personas ATMs at 156 locations identified by Indian Bank. Fifty-one of those units are expected to be placed in railway stations.
