Free ATMs to hit 500 by year-end in U.K.

Easier Media Ltd.:Following NatWest's and Royal Bank of Scotland's commitment to install 300 free-to-use ATMs in the United Kingdom, interest has surpassed expectations. To date, more than 460 ATMs have been secured or installed for lower income, under-served and remote areas across the U.K. Since July 2006, NatWest and RBS have been securing new sites, and now have 379 new machines in England and Wales and 83 in Scotland. The total figure of new ATMs installed since July 2006 as part of the initiative is set to hit 500 by the end of the year.
