Citizens has invested $2.85 million to support 135 nonprofits aross 23 states for financial literacy. Through this investment, it aims to provide financial advice for individuals, according to a press release.
These nonprofit organizations will offer many programs including:
"Access to clear, practical financial education can make a real difference in how people navigate important moments in their lives," Bruce Van Saun, chairman and CEO of Citizens, said in the release. "Through our investments, our work with nonprofit partners and our colleagues' engagement in communities, we're focused on helping people build skills that support informed choices and long‑term financial well‑being."
Citizens also offers financial education for students, such as its College Bound webinar series.
