Citizens invests in Massachusetts workforce development

Citizens announced several investments in Massachusetts for financial empowerment, education and other workforce development initiatives. In particular, it will invest $5 million for YMCA, Boston Medical Center Health System, Tech Foundry, The Possible Zone and other organizations, according to a press release.

Some other initiatives include:

  • $325,000 for financial literacy programs..
  • $100,000 into Life is Good Playmaker Project for childhood education.
  • $4,0000 for micro-credentialing programs at Bunker Hill and Roxbury Community Colleges.

"Creating opportunity starts with showing up—not just with capital, but with partnership and long-term commitment," Lisa Murray, Massachusetts state president at Citizens, said in the release. "Across Massachusetts, we're investing in workforce pathways that support families and strengthen communities, alongside continued commitments to financial education, small business success and housing stability."
