China Bank extends Diebold ATM contract

August 9, 2006

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. will deliver an estimated 1,200 additional ATMs to China Construction Bank.

According to a news release, the agreement includes Diebold's Bulk Cash Recycle Machines as well as advanced-function Opteva ATMs, which run on Agilis software. The ATMs will assist with the bank's EMV end-of- year migration.

Diebold's BCRM accepts large amounts of cash and dispenses it to other customers. And Opteva's S.A.F.E. (secure anti-fraud enhancements) guards against ATM fraud while it enhances security for users.

S.A.F.E. complements Diebold's 14 integrated ATM security features, which range from consumer awareness mirrors to operating system software security.
