CDS intros cash forecasting, balancing tools

December 18, 2006

DALLAS - Columbus Data Services announced Dec. 18 the release of its Web-based cash forecasting and cash balancing tools.

The new system is designed to meet customer requests for more information on terminal balances and cash consumption, helping ATM deployers to better manage the cash in their terminals.

"Whether our customers are using their own cash, the merchants' cash, a third-party cash loader or one of the traditional vault-cash providers, our new Web-based cash management tools allow them to better manage cash needs to avoid revenue loss from out-of-cash situations and excessive cash expenses from over-loading," said John Willmon, vice president of business development for CDS.

The forecasting tool makes use of ATM transaction history to determine replenishment needs; the reporting tool helps provide loading amounts that are specific to each ATM. The new tools also provide balancing capabilities and the ability to take a snap shot of where all cash from a particular funding source is located.
