Wincor Nixdorf to hold forum discussing the future of the industry

AUSTIN, Texas — On Thursday, April 17, executives from Wincor Nixdorf will meet with Texas bank executives to discuss how new automation technologies will help define the future of the banking industry, according to a Wincor Nixdorf release.
Representatives from leading banking institutions and other participants will:
• See live demonstrations of ATMs that allow bulk check deposits without deposit slips or envelopes for rapid transactions, greater consumer security and elimination of consumer frustration.
• Learn how this new generation of ATMs uses electronic imaging to provide instant accounting and immediate access to funds, eliminate millions in losses due to ATM fraud, and how banks can employ these new technologies for immediate consumer acceptance and, ultimately, increased transactions.
• See live demonstrations of teller cash recycling technology, which improve branch efficiency, accuracy and profitability by allowing banks to reduce large branch cash holdings and avoid Federal Reserve Penalties.
• Hear a presentation from TowerGroup analyst Jim Eckenrode on "The Role of Self-Service in the Branch: Service, Sales and Efficiency."
• Learn the background of worldwide banking technology leader Wincor Nixdorf and how the company is rapidly gaining market share in the U.S.
The forum will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Mansion at Judge's Hill in Austin.
