PADERBORN, Germany — Three months after becoming a certified ATM supplier in Australia,Wincor Nixdorf International says it has installed its first SlimCash 200 and ProCash 1500 ATMs in Australia.
According to a news release, both systems are manufactured, in part or whole, locally at Wincor Nixdorf's Asia-Pacific base in Singapore.
The ATMs have been added to the Cashcard network, the largest off-premises ATM service provider in Australia with 6,000 ATMs. Wincor Nixdorf is providing the ATMs through a deal with its local sales partner, Armaguard, and its service subsidiary, ITS, to deliver ATMs, software and support services.
Wincor Nixdorf says it is the first ATM vendor in the world to receive Australia's Level 2 Consumer Electronic Clearing System certification for self-service systems. The certification, conducted by the Australian Payments Clearing Association, ensures that all ATMs and terminals used for electronic payments comply with specific security standards; in particular, the protection of consumer PINs.
"Through the strategic partnership between Wincor Nixdorf, Armaguard and ITS, customers can benefit from the latest innovation in self-service hardware, the most advanced multivendor client and ATM management solutions, intelligent single-line maintenance and comprehensive cash management," said Ricardos Khoury, Wincor Nixdorf's Asia-Pacific regional vice president. "We have put together the best-of-breed hardware, software and services to bring efficiency and services to an unprecedented level, while dramatically minimizing operating costs. Thanks to our innovative solutions, we are helping shape and rejuvenate the self-service industry in Australia."
