Wincor Nixdorf, FedEx partner to provide nationwide ATM service, support

AUSTIN, Texas —Wincor Nixdorf Internationalhas partnered with FedEx Global Supply Chain Services to enhance its service and repair offerings through its service division.
According to a news release, the partnership is expected to strengthen Wincor Nixdorf's ability to repair ATM and POS systems sooner through FedEx Kinko's network of 24-hour office and print centers located throughout the United States.
Wincor Nixdorf expects to maintain parts inventories at select FedEx Kinko's locations, thereby establishing forward-stocking outlets in all Wincor Nixdorf service areas.
Wincor Nixdorf service technicians will contact FedEx Kinko's locations when they need to pick up or have parts delivered.
Wincor Nixdorf also announced the extensive parts inventory of Wincor Nixdorf's U.S. service organization will be moved from the company's Austin headquarters and centrally warehoused at FedEx's main stocking location in Memphis, Tenn. The move is designed to simplify the process of rapidly shipping replacement parts to Wincor Nixdorf service territories throughout the country.
"The FedEx system allows for timely, reliable access to Wincor Nixdorf parts even in time-critical situations, which further solidifies our position as the best possible service provider for our customers," said Uli Seemann, vice president of Wincor Nixdorf's services division. "This partnership supports us in extending our customer base and gives us room for further development within our service organization, which is critical to the success of our clients."
A dedicated web site onwww.fedex.comallows Wincor Nixdorf customers to place orders, manage inventory and obtain order and shipment status. Customer support also will be offered through FedEx on a 24/7 basis, Wincor says.
