Wincor Nixdorf automates branches with ATMs in Turkey

PADERBORN, Germany - Turkey-based Halbank has commissioned Wincor Nixdorf International to automate its branch processes.
 
According to a news release, some 200 systems fitted with intelligent-deposit modules will let the bank's customers deposit cash directly at branch ATMs. An additional 550 ATMs will enable customers to withdraw cash and query account balances. All of the systems also run self-service and surveillance software developed by Wincor Nixdorf.
 
The self-service systems with intelligent-deposit modules can accept 50 unsorted bank notes. All the self-service systems are equipped with Wincor Nixdorf's ProView software for remote monitoring and file distribution. The task profile includes remote diagnosis and status reports for connected systems.
 
Rollout of the new ATMs is expected to be completed by the end of 2007. After the rollout, Halbank will have 1,100 ATMs - all from Wincor Nixdorf.
