Wachovia tests ATM fee hike

(Lansing, Mich.) WLNS-TV, Channel 6: Soon after Bank of America announced its plan to raise ATM fees for non-B of A customers, Wachovia Bank has announced a similar plan to test out an ATM-fee increase. The new Wachovia fee for non-bank customers is $3, and industry analysts predict that other institutions will soon follow B of A's and Wachovia's lead. Within two years, some analysts say ATM fees could hit $5 per transaction for non-bank customers.
