Visa, Blackhawk Network partner for reloadable cards

SAN FRANCISCO - Visa USA on Dec. 4 announced plans to introduce Visa ReadyLink, Visa's prepaid-load network, to Blackhawk Network Alliance partner stores.According to a news release, Safeway will be the first in the Blackhawk Network of 60,000 North American stores to implement ReadyLink. Fifth Third Bank will serve as the acquiring financial institution.
The Visa ReadyLink service allows consumers to add funds to reloadable prepaid Visa cards at participating retail locations. The service also enables Visa and its member FIs to better meet the needs of underserved consumers.
