United Arab Emirates identity card to replace ATM cards

Khaleej Times Online:The identity card issued by the Emirates Identity Authority will eventually replace driving licenses, as well as labor, residency, health and ATM cards, said an official from EIDA. The official also said that the ID card will also enable holders to use it as a travel document to all GCC countries, as it works as an e-passport.
