Triton names new heads to engineering, quality and testing departments

LONG BEACH, Miss. — Triton Systems has named Bob Douglas its new director of engineering and Shan Abbott the new senior manager of quality and testing.
Douglas with oversee Triton's technical direction as well as the refinement of existing products and the development of new ATM models. During his 14 years with Triton, Douglas has worked on every model ATM produced by the company.
Abbott will work with Triton customers and employees to identify and resolve product-quality issues, and to improve the quality and reliability of Triton products. She also will manage the Product Performance Review Board, which addresses customer issues.
"Bob has been a vital part of our Triton engineering team for many years," said Bill Johnson, Triton's president and chief executive. "He brings superb technical and leadership skills, as well as years of hands-on experience, to his new position."
Before joining Triton in 1994, Douglas spent five years designing electronic communications. Douglas holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. And Abbott, who holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, worked as a process engineer for Baldwin Piano as well as a project engineer for Master Brand Cabinets before joining Triton.
"Without question, Shan has demonstrated a unique ability to define an issue and then rally the appropriate resources around that issue until it is resolved," said Burton Hillman, Triton's director of operations. "We are very excited to have her representing Triton as a champion for quality within our business and on behalf of our business partners."
