Tranax, Hypercom intro wireless connectivity on Mini-Bank c4000
November 27, 2006
LAS VEGAS - Tranax Technologies Inc. and electronic-transaction-solution provider Hypercom Corp. showcased Nov. 14-16 Hypercom's new ATMConnect service on a Tranax Mini-Bank c4000 during BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo.
According to a news release, ATMConnect is a service that upgrades dial ATMs to IP.
ATMConnect is built around Hypercom's ATMConnect 5100, an Internet gateway that plugs directly into legacy ATMs. The device converts dial messages to Internet protocol, provides secure SSL encryption of all transactions, and supports either broadband or wireless connectivity. The "plug and play" product eliminates the need for financial institutions, processors and independent sales organizations to manually input IP addresses and other information when upgrading their ATMs.
