Theft of $88,000, I.D. linked to Hawaii ATM

KITV-TV (HONOLULU), Channel 4:Honolulu police say it's the largest identity theft case they've seen, with more than 900 victims in a scam that spans multiple states.Police are looking for a man who for three weeks in October was in the islands making withdrawals from 900 different accounts. All of the accounts were from Washington Mutual Bank customers. The perpetrator got information from the owners and with his cell phone called and WaMu to change PINs for account access.
