Switch Commerce intros mobile app for ATM management

Irving, Texas-based Switch Commerce today announced that its Mobile Terminal Management System, more simply known as MobileTMS, is now available on the Apple App store for iPhone and iPod touch users.
According to a news release, MobileTMS is a feature-rich application that includes a secure ATM-portfolio management component for customers and an ATM locator. MobileTMS also delivers real-time access to transaction details, terminal alerts and reporting, along with the ability to create terminal IDs, upload terminal pictures and adjust surcharge fees. Switch says the application is the first app that provides the ATM portfolio-management feature.
"As an ATM operator, I spend most of my time working in the field," said Alexis Olson, owner of Spiral ATM. "Being able to glance at my iPhone and quickly know the status of all my terminals is critical. With the MobileTMS app for my iPhone, I can do that. I know my balances and know if a terminal is off line and why. I can review transaction history on the fly. I can even set up a new terminal moments after landing a new account. Having MobileTMS means more uptime for my ATMs."
With the iPhone's GPS capabilities, MobileTMS users can find multiple ATMs close to their current location. ATM terminals can also be found by searching for a specific zip code. Surcharge amounts are displayed along with the terminal's address, distance in miles to the terminal's location, and a link to Google Maps for more detailed directions.
