Security Service FCU taps Cardtronics for ATM fleet management

Security Service Federal Credit Union, one of the top 10 credit unions in the United States and the largest CU in Texas, has partnered with Cardtronics PLC to manage its fleet of nearly 120 ATMs in Colorado, Texas and Utah. 

According to a press release, Cardtronics will acquire the existing Security Service ATM fleet, and will many of those machines with ATMs that provide greater functionality, an enhanced user interface and improved security.

"The ATM channel is a critical touch point for Security Service members, but managing our own ATM fleet in a way that could consistently provide the experience our members deserve was becoming increasingly expensive," said Jay Winslow, executive vice president and chief information officer for the CU. "By partnering with Cardtronics, a recognized leader in the ATM industry, we are able to put more focus on our members while letting the experts ensure we are providing the best possible ATM service and best member experience."

Under the managed services agreement, Cardtronics will own and operate drive-up and through-the-wall ATMs for Security Service, providing cash management and delivery, ATM maintenance and updates, transaction processing, monitoring and other services, the release said.
