Paragon launches free online training program, 'EMV in 16 minutes'

To introduce industry members to EMV, Paragon Application Systems, a provider of automated e-payment testing solutions, has launched a free online training course, 'EMV in 16 Minutes.' The class provides an executive-level overview of EMV, without getting into technical details.

EMV in 16 Minutes is presented by Deborah Spidle, director of EMV solutions for Paragon Application Systems. Spidle covers topics that include:

• comparison of a magnetic stripe transaction with an EMV transaction;
• overview of chip technology and concepts;
• reasons to migrate to EMV;
• challenges and resource implications of an EMV migration project.

"Facing an EMV migration project can be very intimidating," said Spidle. "It's helpful to understand basic concepts before you dive into the details. This short presentation will introduce you to the fascinating world of EMV."

Paragon also delivers in-depth live EMV training for executives, project teams, technical teams and project managers, and is currently developing a series of online EMV training courses.

"EMV in 16 minutes" is currently available for online viewing. The program is free, but registration is required.
