Prague Monitor: The use of payment cards in the Czech Republic increased during the first quarter of 2006 to 7.5 million, up 500,000 from the same period last year. In addition, the amount of cash withdrawals at ATMs grew to CZK 110 billion (U.S. $5 billion) in Q1 '06, up from CZK 98 billion (U.S. $4.4 billion) a year ago. The country's first quarter ended in March 2006.
