The European Central Bank (ECB) has certified Nautilus Hyosung proprietary cash recycling technology as meeting the ECB system test for currency validation, including counterfeit detection and fitness sorting.
Nautilus Hyosung models that offer cash recycling capability include the Monimax 8200 and the Monimax 8000A. Both are now certified as compliant with the ECB's banknote recycling framework for euro banknotes.
The ECB framework for automated banknote handling exists to ensure the quality and reliability of euro banknotes in circulation. This serves not only to enhance consumer confidence in self-service platforms, but also to reduce operating costs for self-service device owners.
Devices that have been successfully tested may be deployed throughout the entire eurozone area. Upon receipt of certification, Nautilus Hyosung becomes one of the few ATM manufacturers with in-house developed counterfeit detection and fitness sorting technology ready for market.
