LONDON - Level Four Software Ltd. announced that OTP Bank, one of Hungary's largest retail banks with a network of nearly 2,000 ATMs, has upgraded to Bridge:test, Level Four's automated testing solution for Windows-based ATM applications.
Level Four says the solution will help OTP Bank cut costs and improve productivity throughout its ATM network.
"We know that we will benefit from the upgrade to Level Four's Bridge:test," said György Sebestyén, senior project manager at OTP Bank. "The solution ensures far greater breadth and depth of testing than can be conducted manually, ensuring more reliable ATM software in the field."
As part of its expansion plans to expand into Central and Eastern Europe, OTP Bank has completed several acquisitions in recent years. Those acquisitions have created new environments in which certain ATM applications, such as vendor-developed software, cannot operate with and on competing vendors' hardware. To address the issue, OTP selected an multivendor software platform from an independent vendor for its domestic and international ATM networks. Level Four is working with OTP to test the ATM software before deployment.
Since 2003, OTP Bank has been using Level Four's ATM Developer solution for testing and configuration of its legacy ATMs. BRIDGE:test will now support the roll out of a common ATM application to the bank's international subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.
"Increasingly, our customers are looking to make the most of their multivendor ATM networks through seeking an independent testing solution," said Ian Kerr, Level Four's chief executive. "This proves our commitment to supporting our clients' migration to modern ATM technology."
