May 12, 2008

LA CIOTAT, France — Innova Card, a provider of secure hardware and software solutions, has announced in a news release that WAY Systems' way5000 line of portable, wireless transaction processing terminals has received PED approval per Payment Card Industry standards.

According to a news release, the way5000 works anywhere a cell phone works and is certified for use on the networks of all major U.S. processors. The terminal has magnetic-stripe and contact-type chip reader.

The device is expected to be available later this year.

"We are excited about this new security certification," said Samuel de Saint Laurent, Innova Card's sales director for Europe, the Middle East and Asia. "The way5000 is a powerful pocket-sized multiapplication POS terminal that can address the booming market of mobile payment terminals."
