Infonox introduces new financial services suite at San Francisco show

October 18, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO - At the Self Service and Kiosk Show, Infonox, a leader in providing turnkey solutions for financial and non-financial services, introduced the ActiveKiosk Suite, according to a news release.

The suite is designed to simplify the transition from clerk, teller and cashier-managed processes to self-service terminals. With the ActiveKiosk, kiosk deployers can offer multiple fee-based services including the purchase of financial and non-financial products.

The technology is hardware- and operating system-independent - it can run on Windows or Linux.

Based on their business requirements, deployers can brand, co-brand, integrate and select service menus. ActiveKiosk Suite interfaces to existing card and EFT payment infrastructures via Infonox's Active Payment Platform.

"By unifying applications, devices, backend providers and business processes, we save deployers both time and money," said Safwan Shah, Infonox' chief executive. "Additionally, the creation of this suite addresses multiple issues plaguing the industry, including customer retention and compliance."

The ActiveKiosk Suite includes a library of financial products for retail and bank lobbies, and also offers workflow solutions for browsing, selecting and making payments for retail services. The offered financial products are money transfer, check cashing, bill payment, card issuance, loan and insurance application processing, and remote deposit/capture of checks. The customer-facing workflows include hotel or casino check-in/out, car rental, auto and personal insurance purchases, credit application and credit card activation.
