Guru University to offer remote learning classes for ATM technicians

June 1, 2011

Guru University, an ATM training institute, yesterday announced that it is offering remote learning classes for ATM technicians who don't have time to travel and study at the school's facility in Bartlett, Tenn.

The classes will enable technicians to become certified in the basics of Triton Connect, Triton's ATM monitoring software that provides the user with a complete solution for remote viewing and resetting of errors, while providing reduced costs and increased efficiency through increased uptime. Triton Systems of Delaware LLC, a Long Beach, Miss., ATM manufacturer, owns Guru University.

The Triton Connect online course is comprised of three modules and a final exam. The course, which costs $150, covers the following areas:

  1. Installation and setup of Triton Connect
  2. Initial installation of disk, drivers and software
  3. Overview of the multiple screens and uses of the software
  4. Overview of terminal parameters
  5. Connecting to a live terminal and deleting a terminal
  6. Setup of the ATM for Triton Connect
  7. Configuration of the ATM on location to send and receive communication via Triton Connect

After completing the course and passing the final examination, students will receive diplomas, recognizing certification in the basics of Triton Connect.

Guru University also is developing additional e-learning classes. Interested technicians also can view short ATM training videos, covering a variety of topics, including major dispensers, menu flow guides for Nautilus Hyosung ATM models and how to operate Triton's VeraSafe smart safe and its software.

In addition, Guru University, the training arm ofATMGurus, which stocks and sells ATM parts for Triton, Hantle, Tranax and Nautilus Hyosung machines, will begin offering classes in collaboration with Genmega, an ATM manufacturer based in Fremont, Calif. Instructors will train technicians in repairing Genmega  Hantle, Tranax and Triton ATM components.

"We want to hold the class every other month either in Fremont or in Bartlett," said Aimee Leeper, marketing manager for ATMGurus. "If a firm has a large number of ATMs we will send an instructor to the company." In order for Guru University to schedule a class at a company's location at least five or six technicians would have to agree to attend, she said. The classes last five days.
