CHIASSO, Switzerland - BUIC Systems A.G., since its release of the Cheq-IT Vermezzo Remote Image Capture System, says it has received orders for several hundred systems from clients located in North America, South America and Europe.
"The development of a system that is capable of capturing pages, checks, coupons, rigid documents (e.g., driver's licenses) and accept three-track magnetic-stripe information from credit or I.D. cards in a single, small footprint system has been a major mechanical and electronic engineering challenge," said Stefano Trincard, BUIC Systems' image division manager. "However, the final product has met all the design criteria that we received from our considerable global client base."
BUIC has worked on enhancing its software development kit, Trincard said, by building on the Cheq-IT system it already used.
"Our 'new generation' Cheq-IT XPress range of systems is a feature rich application development tool," he said. "The SDK works with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista, as well as supporting Linux. It is very gratifying to see such rapid acceptance of this new remote deposit capture system from multiple countries in different parts of the world."
