SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Frank W. Abagnale, a world-renowned identity theft, fraud and forgery expert, and author the best-seller, "Catch Me If You Can," is one of the presenters slated for the Feb. 15-17 ATMIA Conference East in Orlando, Fla.
Drawing from first-hand experience - he successfully impersonated an airline pilot, a doctor, an assistant attorney general and a history professor, and cashed more than $2.5 million in fraudulent checks in 26 countries before his 21st birthday - Abagnale will address forgery, embezzlement and document security.
Abagnale has been associated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for more than 30 years, lecturing extensively at the FBI Academy and its field offices. More than 14,000 financial institutions, corporations and law-enforcement agencies use his fraud prevention programs.

Abagnale will tell his life's story Feb. 16 during the awards banquet, when ATMIA will present five global awards for excellence. Abagnale's fraud prevention seminar will be held Feb. 17.
