France's Caisses d'Epargne bank selects CINEO from Wincor

March 13, 2013

The French bank Caisses d’Epargne Provence Alpes Corse has commissioned Wincor Nixdorf to install 145 CINEO ATMs and cash recycling systems. Installations will take place over the next 15 months, according to an announcement from Wincor Nixdorf.

The bank expects the installation to result in process improvements and cash-handling cost reductions. In a detailed three-month analysis of cash processes at Caisses d'Epargne branches, Wincor found that the FI could increase its cash-handling efficiency with ATMs from the CINEO family and cash recycling systems, coupled with optimized cash logistics.

CINEO ATMs and cash recycling systems feature intelligent, interchangeable cassettes that allow cash to be exchanged directly between different cash points in the branch — ATMs, teller automation units and cash recycling systems — for end-to-end cash cycle management.

Caisses d’Epargne is a part of the second biggest banking group in France. A universal bank, the FI serves 26.5 million customers at 4,228 branches throughout the country.
