BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Information Technology Inc., a business unit of Fiserv Inc., has launched a mobile-banking solution called Premier Mobile Banking.
Operating on a browser-embedded handheld device, Premier Mobile Banking is carrier-independent and compatible with any Web-enabled device, Fiserv says. Banking customers are able to check account balances, view recent transactions, receive alerts and transfer funds between accounts in real-time with their cell phones or PDAs.
According to a news release, United Bank of Michigan of Grand Rapids, Mich., $421 million in assets, implemented the Fiserv ITI mobile banking solution in October 2007. And the bank says mobile banking activity has built significantly even in recent weeks, and virtually every new customer now chooses the service.
