First Data signs ATM deployment deal with Turk Ekonomi Bankasi

Trading Markets reportsthis week that First Data Corp. has announced an ATM deployment deal with Turk Ekonomi Bankasi-BNP Paribas, which is based in Turkey.
Over the next three years, First Data and Turk Ekonomi Bankasi will create a new network comprising 1,250 ATMs at retail locations in Istanbul and major cities across Turkey.Cemal Kismir, head of retail banking business at TEB, says the initiative is significant in terms of size and scale:
We are pleased to be working with First Data, which has an excellent understanding of the dynamics of both retail and ATM markets and global experience in managing successful and profitable retail ATM networks.
Soner Canko, managing director of First Data's operations in Turkey, says First Data deems Turkey to be an important growth market for the company.
