Disabled man sues Tesco over PIN requirement
October 7, 2008
Mail Online: A man is threatening to take Tesco to court after being refused the right to pay for goods using a credit-card signature. Tim Arnold, 47, suffers from a condition that makes it hard for him to remember figures, so he uses a card that does not need a PIN. But he was twice refused the right to pay with his signature at a Tesco store. A manager wrongly insisted it was the law to use a PIN with a chip card.
