October 19, 2008

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Credit Union 24, a U.S. credit union-owned ATM and point-of-sale network, has contracted with marketing partner Member Access Pacific to offer a low-cost and customizable prepaid card solution to credit unions.

According to a news release, MAP Prepaids is a flexible card program featuring reloadable, instant-issue and personalized cards that are not tied to a main deposit account, allowing credit union members to access and share funds securely and easily.

"It's great to see two credit union-owned CUSOs team up to offer a valuable tool for credit unions," said Jim Park, Credit Union 24 president and chief executive. "MAP Prepaids is a customizable solution for credit unions that want to fill their members' needs for gift cards, travel or college cards, and even payroll or incentive cards for their business members."

Credit Union 24 expects interested credit unions to be up and running on the MAP Prepaids program in time for the holiday season.
