Dallas-based Columbus Data Services, a provider of ATM processing and other services, has announced that its successful completion of MasterCard EMV certification for GenMega and Hantle ATMs.
"While there is certainly more work needed to get all of the networks in the US processing EMV transactions, this is a great first step," CDS senior VP John Willmon said in a news release
"This provides ISOs with ATMs that are experiencing losses due to the liability shift with an immediate option to convert to EMV today. CDS is one of a very small group of processors to have completed EMV certification, as such, can provide customers with a consultative path to achieving compliance."
Columbus Data Services is continuing to certify other manufacturers' hardware and software for EMV and expects to have a number of additional models certified very shortly, the release said.
