Chase issues cards for unemployed in Texas

BankNet 360:The Texas Workforce Commission has signed a deal with JPMorgan Chase & Co. for the provision of Visa debit cards that carry unemployment benefits. JPM expects to provide 290,000 debit cards annually. The cards, which will replace checks, can be used by the unemployed to purchase items from merchants or for cash from an ATM. Claimants can withdraw cash without paying fees from 800 Chase ATMs in Texas and AllPoint ATMs nationwide.
