BROOKFIELD, Wis. — The ACCEL/Exchange Network, owned and operated by Fiserv Inc., is enhancing its partnership with FICANEX Services to enable cardholders of Canadian financial institutions to access the ACCEL/Exchange ATM network surcharge-free throughout the United States.
Effective immediately, all FIs associated with FICANEX will have surcharge-free access to ACCEL/Exchange ATMs, according to a news release.
"Cardholders have been very satisfied with the convenience and accessibility offered by The Exchange network," said Shelley Maher, board chairwoman of FICANEX.
More than 235 Canadian FIs can access ACCEL/Exchange POS and ATM locations in the United States through FICANEX Services. And, U.S. member FIs have access to more than 2,200 surcharge-free Canadian Exchange Network ATMs.
"In addition to gaining access to even more surcharge-free ATMs in the U.S., cardholders whose financial institutions are members of FICANEX Services can raise their debit card to make purchases and get cash back from hundreds of thousands of ACCEL merchants in the U.S.," said Angela Hagerty, director of operations for the ACCEL/Exchange Network.
