BREAKING: De La Rue says it's in talks with bidders for ATM biz
May 21, 2008
BLOOMBERG: England's De La Rue PLC, the company known for installing the world's first ATM in 1967, has announced that it's in actual discussions with bidders regarding the sale of its ATM and cash-systems business. The company first announced a possible sale of the division back in February. The sale would include everything in De La Rue's Cash Systems division, the company's most profitable, except for a unit that makes money-sorting equipment. That's what the company chief executive, Leo Quinn, has told investors. He declined to provide details about potential bidders.
