ATM Raminator gets Aussie security award
July 17, 2007
SYDNEY, Australia - Lockit Systems Pty. Ltd. has been awarded one of Australia's highest security-industry awards for its ATM Raminator solution.
According to a news release, the Best New Security Product 2007 award was given to Lockit Systems by the Australian Security Industry Association Ltd.
ASIAL said it chose the ATM Raminator because of its capacity to deflect the force of a ram raid away from the ATM. The solution in its first year prevented eight attempted ATM ram raids in Australia.
Not a single ATM has been stolen where an ATM Raminator has been fitted, said Lockit Systems director Richard Gould.
"This award is the best first birthday present we could ever have," he said. "We have hit the mark and addressed the real needs of our ATM clients. With these runs on the board, our Australasian distributor Sprintquip Security has started supplying many more ATM Raminators to financial institutions here in Australia."
Gould said international rollout of the ATM Raminator also is gaining momentum. In September, Gould will present a paper about ram raids during the ATM Industry Association's security conference in Las Vegas. Included In This Story
