It's 11:27; do you know what your ATM anti-skimming technology is doing?

ACG solution takes monitoring online for anti-skimming devices.

February 18, 2014 by Suzanne Cluckey — Owner, Suzanne Cluckey Communications

Not to state the obvious, but an anti-skimming solution is only protecting your ATM when it's working.

If so, all is well. If not, you need to decide whether to assume the risk of an attack — leaving the ATM online until the problem can be resolved — or play it super safe and take the machine offline for the duration.

At the recent ATMIA US 2014 conference and expo in Orlando, Fla., Matthias Thiele, VP of global operations at ACG Inc., discussed a new software program that offers its user a real-time view of the status of anti-skimming technology across an entire ATM fleet.

The software gives an operator the ability to check the status of each ATM location and, if the anti-skimming device at an individual site is not operating, decide whether to take that location offline.

The system supports both dip and mechanized anti-skimming solutions and, in the case of the former, creates an electronic picture of the machine fascia for comparison purposes and alerts the operator if the fascia is altered in any way.

To learn more about the system, including its multi-antenna jamming signal capability, watch the video below.
