Mobile ATM finder-reminder application helps ATM users avoid paying needless fees.

It's like an "I could have had a V8!"slap to the forehead — only via mobile app.

Cardtronics has developed a smartphone app that member banks of the fee-free network can use to help their customers avoid paying the same unnecessary fee twice. The program can easily be added to a bank's existing website where it may be offered for free download by customers.  

Should a FeeAlert-enrolled bank customer use an out-of-network ATM, the program automatically sends a text or email notice to the customer, providing a list of surcharge-free ATMs in the vicinity that the customer can use next time — and save the fee.
