PADERBORN, Germany - Wincor Nixdorf's new cassette-based cash recycling system, the ProCash 4000, received the "Best Product at CIFTEE 2005" award during the China International Exhibition on Financial Banking Technology & Equipment in Peking.
The ProCash 4000 is a compact system using cassette technology. It counterfeit-checks deposited cash and then recycles the cash for withdrawals.
The ProCash 4000 has five cassettes, up to four of which can be used for recycling, and has capacity for up to 12,500 banknotes/bills.
According to a news release, the CIFTEE jury was impressed with the ProCash 4000's high-performance functionality and ergonomic, compact design.
In showing its products at the event, Wincor put its focus on what is currently one of the most important topics in the Asia-Pacific banking sector: automatic deposits using self-service technology. As early as June, Wincor had completed a successful pilot of its ProCash 4000 cash recycling system at a leading Chinese bank as well as in a Malaysian bank.
The systems are now being used at the banks as deposit and combined deposit/withdrawal systems.
