Medellin, Colombia-based Bancolombia has entered a three-year contract with Wincor Nixdorf for the operation of its 1,160 self-service systems, according to a press release. The bank — which is the largest in Colombia and one of the largest in Latin America — also has ordered 800 new Wincor Nixdorf ProCash 280 ATMs.
Under the agreement, Wincor will take on responsibility for installation and maintenance of the bank's self-service devices, and will provide complete management for the network, the release said.
Wincor Nixdorf will assume responsibility for all support activities, including around-the-clock ATM monitoring, remote troubleshooting and problem resolution, and the distribution of all the software for the self-service network.
The company said that the agreement will allow the bank to reduce the need for technician callouts and eliminate internal IT costs and licensing fees.
