Wincor Nixdorf wins Landesbank Berlin contract

PADERBORN, Germany — Wincor Nixdorf International announced plans to install 350 self-service banking terminals at Landesbank Berlin.
 
The bank says it will use the terminals to offer customers a set of payment functions, delivering a broader range of value-added services on self-service systems.
 
Value-added services on the self-service systems include prepaid mobile-phone-card top-up and personalized ads.
 
Terminal rollout is scheduled is expected to be complete by October 2009.
 
Wincor Nixdorf also will provide IT services for the entire terminal estate.
 
According to a news release, the ProConsult 2000 banking terminals are expected to replace Landesbank Berlin's statement printers and will provide an array of account functions, such as creation of standing orders, direct-debit returns, account-turnover information and prepaid-card top-up. The terminals also are equipped to handle online credit transfers.
  
Wincor Nixdorf's ProSales software package will be used to offer personalized ads, campaign planning and administration, creating a channel that provides direct feedback from the customer to the bank's marketing unit. An open interface caters for flexible program integration in the bank's present CRM solutions.
