WAUSAU, RMS partner for payment processing

MOSINEE, Wis. — WAUSAU Financial Systems, provider of distributed payment and receivables solutions, and Revenue Management Solutions, provider of revenue-cycle-management solutions for healthcare, are partnering to extend healthcare-payment processing to WAUSAU's solutions.
By integrating RMS' revenue-management service, WAUSAU expects its customers to enhance the capture of remittances sent as paper explanation of benefits, checks and electronic payments.
According to a news release, WAUSAU will be able to deliver one payment source for healthcare clients, thus improving automation, collection, claims management and denials.
It is estimated that as much as 30 percent of the $2.1 trillion spent on healthcare in the United States each year is spent on administrative or non-medical activities, including cash collection.
