Wachovia scraps 'foreign' ATM fees

San FranciscoBusiness Journal: As part of its expansion into California, Wachovia Corp. says it is eliminating ATM fees at other banks' ATMs. Wachovia says it won't charge its customers the typical $1.50 foreign ATM fees when they use other banks' ATMs, and it will reimburse California customers up to $2 per transaction when they are charged by other banks. The Charlotte, N.C.-based bank has branches in Southern California and recently opened a branch in San Francisco.
