VSoft, Diebold enter deposit-automation alliance
February 11, 2007
ORLANDO, Fla. - VSoft Corp., an information and technology provider of process improvement tools for financial institutions, announced that it will certify Diebold Inc.'s ImageWay ATM software for implementation with the VSoft server solution.
According to a news release, any ATM with Diebold's ImageWay solution can now be integrated with VSoft's Image ATM server utility software to capture images at the ATM.
"The financial-services industry continues to embrace and implement the power of deposit automation to provide high quality self-service deposit transactions for consumers in a cost-effective processing environment," said David Bucci, senior vice president of Diebold's customer solutions group. "This strategic alliance is just one example of how Diebold offers the industry advanced ATM imaging solutions that are more easily implemented into an existing item processing network."
Diebold's ImageWay ATM solution incorporates store-and-forward technology to allow delivery of transaction information to a VSoft server solution. VSoft's ATM server solution accepts deposit transaction data, including all check images, from the ImageWay ATM. Following deposit reconciliation, VSoft's solution sends all images to the central check-processing site, maintaining a complete audit trail for clearing purposes.
"As a result of Check 21 legislation, deposits through imaging ATMs have become a reality," said Murthy Veeraghanta, president of VSoft. "As financial institutions move toward accepting depository transactions on our Image ATM server utility softwar, we see partnering with market leaders such as Diebold a win-win for both organizations."
