Visa watches sales rise in Philippines

INQ7money: Payment processor Visa International reports that its total retail sales went up to P76.5 billion (U.S. $1.5 billion)in 2005, up 27.1 percent from 2004. In card sales volume, which includes cash advances and ATM withdrawals, the company saw a 48.1 percent increase in 2005 from 2004. The number of merchants accepting Visa cards reached 69,300 at the end of 2005.
